In an interview, professional choreographer Robert Magasa said he was impressed with the competition adding that the finals had raised the energy in most of the groups.

“Everyone has stepped up their game in this competition and the artists have added a little technique to their routine which is remarkable,” he said.

The choreographer commended on the organisation, but said that next season should start with a bigger venue.

“It would also be good if the organisers consider hiring a choreographer to train dancers right from the onset of the competition to enhance quality of performance,” said Magasa.

He added that there is need to set rules to instil discipline in the competition and to ensure fairness.

“A dancer drops a prop on stage that is totally uncalled for, unless it was on purpose. And the DJs should make sure there are no complications during selection of songs. Dancers do not have to go back stage to select a song,” said Magasa.
